The project journey
Stage 01 · The starting point
The site began as an existing Wildwood restaurant. Its former layout, finishes and furniture remained, providing the shell for a complete transformation.
Stage 02 · The brief
The brief covered concept, brand, décor, build and project management — all within the constraints and character of a Grade II listed building.
Stage 03 · Concept and planning
Brand identity, frontage design and the operational layout were developed together, turning the creative idea into a practical plan for the building and the business.
Stage 04 · The build
Framing, fabrication and coordination brought the design into the physical space, with progress managed from the first works through to completion.
Stage 05 · Taking shape
Custom features, joinery and finishes created the distinctive environment while the operational areas were completed around the needs of the team.
Stage 06 · The reveal
The former Wildwood became Rapscallions Chichester — a highly themed hospitality space with a confident new frontage and a fully transformed interior.
Stage 07 · Handover
The concept was delivered, the build completed and the venue handed over ready to operate. Rapscallions Chichester opened in December 2025.
Stage 08 · The whole journey
Concept development, brand and venue design, build delivery, project management, opening support and menu development were brought together as one joined-up programme.
